It looks like Acer dares to be remarkable!
If you have ever fancied a racing red laptop with great specs go take a look at the new Acer Ferrari 3000 (yes, THAT Ferrari). Key specs: Athlon XP-M 2500+, 512 MB, 60 GB, WiFi (801.11b/g), Bluetooth, Flash card drive, 1400 x 1050 15" screen, 128 MB GPU, ... reasonably priced and all wrapped up in a distinctive red design that sends a bold message to all the charcoal black laptops of the world.

Thumbs up, Acer!

Here's another one for the Apple addicts - a video from the opening of the new Apple store last month in Ginza (Tokyo), featuring an incredibly long, orderly line of thousands of people queuing up for the goodies Apple Store Japan. Unreal!

I came across this workspace on GotDotNet featuring what is gradually becoming a very nice book on Improving .NET Application Performance and Scalability.

Lieberman Laptops have almost unreal specs - how about a 15" 2048x1536 screen? Or a 17" monitor on your laptop along with a 128 MB GPU? If these are real they are definitely desirable... The laptop design looks very inspired by the Apple's work and their websites show the same style of inspiration. It is good to see a US company putting some effort into product design. I hope it will set the scene for more good-looking laptops like the Japanese (like the selection at Dynamism) or the outstanding British designs from Jonathan Ive at Apple.
